Background

Board-certified in commercial real estate by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, Richard brings more than thirty years of experience to his clients. Richard helps property owners, developers, public entities and utilities navigate real estate, construction, and eminent domain issues. He handles both the transactional and litigation sides of these practice areas. His litigation experience informs his transactional work, and his transactional experience informs his practical approach to litigation.

Richard has significant experience structuring and closing complex, multi-party real estate agreements, drafting large project construction contracts, and litigating construction disputes. He has handled eminent domain matters involving condemnation for: buildings, pipelines, electric and water utilities, highways and toll roads, airports and railroads, bridges and virtually every type of real property improvement and infrastructure.
