John Behan is a third generation Texas lawyer who specializes in bankruptcy, bankruptcy litigation, and general insolvency. Mr. Behan attended Baylor University and majored in history with a minor philosophy. Mr. Behan then attend Southern Methodist University for law school where he distinguished himself, serving as a member of the SMU Law Review and graduating in the top 10% of his class.
After graduation, Mr. Behan began his bankruptcy practice by clerking for the Honorable Joshua P. Searcy for two years in Tyler, Texas where he gained hands on experience in all types of bankruptcy litigation.
Upon completion of his clerkship, Mr. Behan returned to him hometown of Fort Worth and entered private practice. Mr. Behan has experience in nearly all types of bankruptcy cases, including consumer Chapter 7’s, small business bankruptcy’s (Chapter 11 Subchapter V), and creditor representations in various matters.
