Thomas S. Brandon, Jr., lead counsel, in a dispute over royalties owed to clients of the firm has settled a lawsuit asserting the clients’ rights to overriding royalty interest in a major piece of litigation involving more than 250,000 net mineral acres located in the Montana Bakken field in Eastern Montana and which was purchased by Apache Corporation in Houston.  The sellers of the acreage agreed to pay the entire royalty owed to the firm’s clients.
