Mr. Childress represents clients in litigation matters on both sides of the docket in disputes involving injunctive relief and/or damage claims that relate to intellectual property (trademarks, copyrights, patents and trade secrets), commercial relationships (for example, disputes arising out of covenants not to compete, contracts or other commercial relationships), oil and gas and personal injury.
Throughout the litigation process, he constantly evaluates the cost/benefit/risk ratio. He looks for creative, efficient solutions to difficult problems and then, tries the disputes that are not resolved amicably. He practices in federal district and appellate courts, federal bankruptcy courts, state district and appellate courts, as well as before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He also represents parties involved in alternative dispute resolution proceedings such as arbitration and mediation. His clients include businesses, large and small, publicly traded and privately owned, as well as individuals.
